Warm and bodyfriendly
on the surface, but non-skid on the backside. This was the demand for the first natural fibre exercise mat, which was developed by Bausinger in 1977. A clear case for wool! From that time on wool and the handling of this natural resource became a constant challenge and learning process for our company. These days the name BAUSINGER stands for natural fibre mats. The fact that natural fibres hold their ground even or perhaps because of the wide range of colourful new synthetic materials, proves the confidence in wool - of teachers and practitioners alike.
At the same time it is due to the active development work in the fields of coating, flocking and processing, that natural materials have gained new qualities.
The first non-skid and foldable exercise mat (see graphic to the left) is an example for the current state of development.
